Description:
Coleus barbatus (Andrews) Benth.
Distributed in northeastern Yunnan, China. It is also distributed in India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan and tropical Africa. Grows on wilderness slopes at an altitude of 2,300 meters.
The whole plant of Coleus forskohlii can be used medicinally. Its leaves contain many chlorophylls and volatile oils,which have pharmacological effects such as cardiotonic, antihypertensive, antiasthmatic, antithrombotic and intraocular pressure reduction.
Function:
1. Coleus forskohlii extract used as a medical herb extract to treat heart and lung diseases, intestinal spasms, insomnia, and convulsions.
